In this study, we measured the spatiotemporal distribution of reactions along coupled LNT-SCR catalyst systems to better understand interplays between LNT and SCR components under fast lean/rich cycling conditions. Specifically, we compared two different catalyst configurations of a same total catalyst length/volume (i.e., LNT-SCR sequential vs. LNT-SCR-LNT-SCR sandwiched) to evaluate the impact on NOx conversion, NH3 utilization and N2O yields.
