Dear CLEERS Participants: We are excited to announce that CLEERS will be back in 2023.  We will be organizing a CLEERS track at the ASME Internal Combustion Engine Division’s ICE Forward 2023 Conference. The conference will take place on October 8-11, 2023, in Pittsburgh PA. The Emissions Control (CLEERS @ ICE Forward) track will include technical papers and presentations focused on emissions control technologies.  Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Development, evaluation, and simulation of new emissions control catalyst materials and system architectures Thermal management technologies and strategies Emissions control system durability Effects of alternative fuels on engine emissions and emissions control system performance Reductant (urea or fuel) delivery: spray modeling, decomposition processes, deposit formation Drive cycle/real-world emissions For more information, please, visit The ICE Forward Conference website. The 2021 CLEERS Virtual Workshop registration page is now open. The registration page can be accessed from the workshop home page.  The cost to attend the workshop is free; however, registration to attend the workshop is required. Please register early as the space is limited.  The current cutoff date to register for the 2021 CLEERS Virtual Workshop is 5 PM EDT, Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  In the event that the capacity of the meeting platform is reached, an earlier registration cutoff may be necessary, and notification will be posted to the CLEERS website. After consulting with the CLEERS Advisory Committee and the DOE Advanced Engine Crosscut Team, we have decided to hold the 2021 CLEERS Workshop as a virtual event again this year.  The 2021 CLEERS Virtual Workshop will be held over 5 days on September 13-17, 2021 in a similar format as last year.   We will send updated information as it becomes available. After consulting with the CLEERS Advisory Committee and the DOE Advanced Engine Crosscut Team, we have concluded that many of the participants in CLEERS may be unable to travel to the CLEERS Workshop this September due to potential travel restrictions and budgetary constraints. Therefore, we have decided to hold the 2020 CLEERS Workshop as a virtual event. We are working on a revised agenda to accommodate multiple time zones.
